After breaking through with her solo LP in 2019 ‘Hielo Boca’, multi disciplinary artist Viktoria Wehrmeister (also known as the “better half” of Tolouse Low Trax on their collaboration project Toresch) is taking a step forward with her newest creation ‘La Vida Te Busca’ (“Life is looking for you”). On her new album Decha is refining her approach to songwriting yet not losing the naiveté and her own unique way of producing.
Not abandoning her infatuation with expressional self made languages, this time Viktoria (Viki) is taking another step forward and sings in Spanish and for the first time also in German. Her Lyrics involve self reflection about life and existence as a woman, as a mother, as an artist, as a creator. She sings about her day to day experiences, her emotions, and about her encounters with her surroundings – with the people, the nature, and her place amongst it all. The Music she produces to accompany those lyrics is raw and repetitive, in some songs (Ser, Chebechu) soft and in others echoing a long lost tribal (Sueñ Bien, Icconuvatu) heritage….
