“Argentina producer Juaan (Juan Fernandez) has gotten a lot of hype recently for his first handful of first releases. And from the sounds of his latest, he is living up to the hype and then some! The Placer EP is the first EP for the American Sarah Tonin records. Juaan’s ability to create some killer electro, breaks and techno is evident right from the first sample of title track. His ability to take the recipe for early 90s and spin them into something futuristic again, is his calling card. It’s really hard to tell what period these tracks are from. And to those in techno that means they have that staying timeless power that they look for in picking music. The energy in all these tracks is great for the dancefloor as well. Definitely music to make you dance. Hats off to Juann for being some unique and creating music that pushes the boundaries.”
