Billy Bogus and Max Paparella are back to their project entirely devoted to “cinema di genere” / genre cinema, something which no longer exists but still keeps being referred to nowadays: from Umberto Lenzi’s car chases (strictly on Alfetta), to Lucio Fulci’s visual deliriums and more, from Riz Ortolani’s illusory relaxations to Augusto Martelli’s detours on the theme. Directors who blends and get confused within their music composers bringing about a definite iconography, a layered universe of sounds and images.

A Side: AGGUATO CARAIBI
The A side is like a music/film sequel on top of a shift of film genre.
Here the imagery is slightly funkier and connected to old Italian crime movies, poliziotteschi , without forgetting the psichedelia of the previous release “Tensione Casio”: we refer to directors such as Fernando di Leo but also to those 60s Italian/Spanish spy movies like « Baleari Operazione Oro » straight from 1966.

B Side: L’ESCAVATORE DI NEW YORK (LA PERLA)
For the B side we find ourselves in a post-apocalyptic New York as imagined by Enzo Castellari, where a slow and atmospheric funk opens up to unexpected flashes of light. We are talking perhaps not of the NY of present times but of a future as they imagined it in the past, a limbo that never existed but that has been conditioning Billy and Max for a long time.
