London clubbing institution KAOS now presents its label arm, Khemia Records, with this debut featuring the legendary French coldwave icon Laurent Prot aka In Aeternam Vale. Since Minimal Wave revived Prot’s career, the guy has been unstoppable and “La Grille” is testament to this. A pounding techno cut with the kind of well perfected cyclical precision that makes the very best of DJ tools. Speaking of functional techno, Richard ‘LFDM’ Smith and Dominic Butler return as Bronze Teeth. Mind you, “Rude Movements” starts off sounding like Cabaret Voltaire with its rusty and vintage flair before evolving into a harsh and bass driven modern industrial cut: serious attitude on this one.
